About the High School Badminton League

The goal of High School Badminton League initiated by Frisco & Austin Badminton Academy is to increase the awareness of Badminton in the community as well as recognize the kids who are training on a regular basis. Our vision is to have a badminton team in every high school in the area and a possibility of a PE teacher assigned to them.

The High School Badminton league started in the academic year 2023-24 where 12 Frisco ISD high school teams competed. Games were conducted to form a high school team for each school. This was followed by inter high school games. The winning high school team then received a scholarship.

The plan for 2025 is to expand this league to more ISD's and form ISD level team by first conducting Intra ISD Team selection event. The selected ISD teams will then compete in the league by conducting inter ISD games. The winning high school team will be awarded a scholarship.

The 2025 North Texas High School Badminton Leagues finals will be played during the 2025 Frisco Open between May 16-18.

2025 League Details

• Intra-ISD team selection events to select ISD teams – Feb 8th to Apr 5th

• Inter-ISD games will determine the winning team – Apr 12th to May 3rd

• Finals will be played during the 2025 Frisco Open – May 18th

• Award Ceremony will be held during 2025 Frisco Open

• Registration Deadline: February 18th, 2025
